C’est une confusion effroyable, tout le monde se dispute... Avant, au moins, Indira et N.S. s’entendaient, maintenant... Indira m’a fait dire par le gouverneur que si j’avais quelque chose à lui dire, je devais le lui dire par lui – je n’ai rien à dire.

Figure-toi qu’avec les réfugiés, il y a des gens du Pakistan qui sont entrés en Inde et qui ont empoisonné les puits et les rivières. On en a attrapé sur le fait. C’est effroyable...
Mais ils ont ce qu’ils méritent! Ils veulent être comme de sages petits saints, ne pas intervenir et ne rien faire. Alors, résultat, il y a des millions de réfugiés, on empoisonne leurs puits et tout est pire. Ils ne veulent pas faire la guerre, tu comprends!

Il paraît que le Parlement est pour la guerre – le Parlement veut la guerre, et c’est le gouvernement qui ne veut pas.

Mais c’est une maladie qui a pris le monde entier. Il y a une Américaine qui était venue ici et qui devait revenir, et elle a été poignardée dans la nuit en rentrant chez elle – à New York. Il paraît qu’on ne peut plus sortir le soir à New York, il faut être au moins trois ou quatre ensemble... Le monde est devenu fou – partout.
