I have seen her on the summit steps of being And sought her in the sweep from sea to sky Glimpsed her golden through an inner seeing And bowed before her luminous majesty.
I voiced my disputation with the night Its stubborn opposition and transgress Of truth that built the world for joy and light And life that lives alone by Her largesse.
I have sung to her my earth-born melodies That chant the strains of peace mid turbulence Of sect and creed and outworn verities And ego's rule and mind's inane pretence.
Now I come to Her towards life's long close, Place at Her feet the sacrificial rose.
