Once in many years gone by I met a lady from the stars And One who is the deity, The Avatar of many wars. Leaning on a branch of time I watch the world go floating by What is man most malignant crime, Hatred and animosity. There avarice too, corrupting all, And wealth, the burden of the great, Powerful yet doomed to fall, Knowing not the hour is late For change is on us and we must change Or hedonistic will die incomplete, An animal with a seething lust Go down to dust in defeat.
