Bonjour!

Bonjour, Douce Mère. . .

Today is the day of the prayers. (I show the calendar for December with the painting of ‘Transformation’ 23 flowers.)

Ah, give it to me. (Then I show the Mother the prayer for the previous month.)

This is last month’s prayer?

Yes, Mother.

(The Mother reads the prayer for November.)

Well. But I don’t have the white ink to write here. (The paper was grey in colour.) What to do?

It doesn’t matter, Mother. You may write in any colour.

(The Mother writes:)

Dans un silence recueilli,
nous attendons
l’avènement de l’année nouvelle.

La Mère

In an indrawn silence,
we await the advent
of the new year.

The Mother

This is the last prayer. Therefore I will sign here. All right. It is all for this year, awaiting the New Year.

(I give the Mother the paper on which She wrote in November the prayer for December.)

What is it?

(The Mother reads.)

Yes, it is fine. It is beautiful. But why is it here? Have I written this?

Yes, Mother.

For what?

Mother, last month, You said that there was another prayer which came to You and You noted it down here. And You asked me to keep it here. You wanted to see if this is what would come for the next month. You had said that it would be interesting to compare the two, because it seemed to You to be the prayer for the New Year.

So, I wrote two prayers?

Yes, Mother. Is there something in common that You find in these two prayers?

Yes, a lot. Let me read it again.

A year has passed
and is coming to an end.
In profound silence I implore Thee
that past errors may never be repeated.
With infinite gratitude
I bow before Thee.

Yes, it is very much that. Exactly the same movement. It is exactly the same thing. It is the same aspiration. It is the same concentration. It is the same inner movement that is unfolding. In fact, it is in continuation of the same thing.

If you can arrive at this consciousness, you will see that it is the same thing which is said in the two prayers, “in profound silence” and the other one is “in an indrawn silence”. Yes, it is interesting, it is the same inspiration which came to me. The same that is developing. It is good. Keep it here. It is the same thing. It is an inner projection of the same thing. Well, this is for the end of the year . . .

And, Mother, Your signature here . . .

Yes, and I will write, “Supreme Lord” at the beginning. Now it is complete. You can take it. You can keep it here in the calander since it is the same thing; one completes the other. It is good.

Supreme Lord,
A year has passed
and is coming to an end.
In profound silence I implore Thee
that past errors may never be repeated.
With infinite gratitude
I bow before Thee.
