Prayers given by The Mother to Mona Sarkar
The Mother : Contact Prayers to Sri Aurobindo & MA
THEME/S
Bonjour!
Bonjour, Douce Mère. (Mother gives me a rose with a bud on the same stem.)
Mother, does this flower represent the individual?
It is for you. It represents what you must become — your aspiration and all that you must become. You must blossom and open like this . . . to widen and become; to be and transform yourself . . .
This (the bud) is the past which has to be rejected, thrown out in order to advance towards the future. It has to blossom forth from the burden of the past and open to the future. This is what awaits you.
Yes, can you do it? You will arrive there and blossom like this . . . to be transformed.
You must open like this . . . Well . . .
What is it?
(I give the Mother the calendar of prayers.)
Let me see.
(Mother reads the prayer for January.)
Yes, this is what you must aspire for. I have already written it (in the prayer). Did you feel what it is?
Yes, Mother, I have shown You what I noted down
It is good. (Looking at the painting) Ah! this is beautiful. It is well done. Is it ‘Conscious-ness . . .’?
No, Mother, it is ‘Unselfishness’ 39.
Ah! ‘Unselfishness’, this is what has value — unselfishness. It is good. (Mother concentrates and then writes:)
"Annule les limitations du passé, rends-moi capable de m’ouvrir à l’avenir pour avancer viers le surhomme.” “Annul the limitations of the past, make me capable of opening myself to the future in order to advance towards the superman.”
"Annule les limitations du passé, rends-moi capable de m’ouvrir à l’avenir pour avancer viers le surhomme.”
“Annul the limitations of the past, make me capable of opening myself to the future in order to advance towards the superman.”
This is what awaits you. You have to continue till you get there.
Yes, Mother, this is what I want.
It is magnificent. (Mother looks at the painting.)
Mother, will You sign here?
Sign? No, it is not me who is praying. It is you who are praying to become this. This is your prayer. I do not need to pray. It is for you to pray. It is your prayer. Do you understand?
I have not signed the first one. No, it is not necessary. It is for you that I write and not for me.
