Prayers given by The Mother to Mona Sarkar
The Mother : Contact Prayers to Sri Aurobindo & MA
THEME/S
(I give the Mother the calendar of monthly prayers.)
Ah, a prayer for the month of July?
Yes, Mother.
Let me see what I have given for the previous month. (The Mother reads the prayer for June and then looks at the painting for July.) Oh! For this time it is ‘Realisation’.15
Oh, yes, it is beautiful. (Then, after a while, She writes 16:)
Seigneur, “Dans la paix de la sincérité parfaite je suis à Toi.”
La Mère
Lord, “In the peace of perfect sincerity I am Thine.”
The Mother
Ah, this is beautiful as a prayer. How sweet it is to hear: “In the peace of perfect sincerity I am Thine.”
This is truly a prayer. It is beautiful. This is what I was expecting: “I am Thine”. How sweet it is to abandon all to Him! You understand?
It is a prayer that your soul came to tell me. It is a prayer of your soul. And it is so beautiful that your soul came to tell me this and that you have complete trust in me. Just now when I was in trance, searching for a prayer for you, I heard your soul tell me this and I said: “There it is, it is a beautiful prayer, I will write today that which your soul spoke to me.” This is something. You have established an inner contact with me. Today it is you who expressed the prayer and it is so beautiful. It is one of the beautiful little prayers. How well things are going this way. I don’t need to search. I ask and your soul answers me. “In the peace of perfect sincerity I am Thine.”
It is beautiful, it is magnificent as a prayer . . . “I am Thine”; it gives confidence, faith and total self-giving. It is so beautiful . . . so beautiful . . . it is something done.
Mother, will You sign it today? I want You to sign it.
But my child, it is not me who is saying the prayer. It is you who are saying the prayer. I help you a little to find a prayer, that’s all. And today you have written the prayer, it is your soul who uttered to me this prayer. That is why I cannot sign it. But, Mother, You are my soul, that is why I am asking You.
But I have not signed the other prayers.
Yes, Mother, You have signed only one.
Yes. Let me see. (Mother turns over the pages of the calendar.) I don’t know why I signed this one, since it is you who pray. I think I can write something here. I can write here, on top, “Lord”.
(Mother writes “Seigneur” above the prayer.)
It doesn’t matter, I can also sign.
No, Mother You can write here ‘Supreme.’
No, that I cannot do. I can sign if you want. (Mother signs.) Now, is it all right?
(Mother looks at the remaining blank pages of the calendar.)
Oh, here, there is one sheet of paper that is a dark red. It is for . . .
It is for the month of October, Mother, as it is the month of Pujas. This other one is for the month of December.
But why a dark grey? What does it represent?
I don’t know, Mother.
Then this one is yellow.
It is for the month of August.
It is good for the month of August.
And, the ‘Godhead’ 17 flower will be painted for the month.
Ah ‘Godhead!’ it is good. My child, it is going on all right. You see how it is now. (She reads:)
“Lord, in the peace of perfect sincerity I am Thine.”
It is beautiful, isn’t it?
It is beautiful. It is your soul that was praying. It is so direct and beautiful.
It is good, my child.
It is all right.

(Two weeks later the Mother asked me:)
Have I given you a prayer for this month?
Yes, Mother. You have given one to me.
Do you repeat it every day?
Every day. How many times do you repeat it?
Many times, Mother.
It is good. You have to repeat it many times and sincerely want it to become a part of your being. Constantly, you have to feel it.
