Manifestation of the Divine

Bonjour!

Bonjour, Douce Mère.

Give me what you have brought . . . I will need the light.

Yes, Mother, I will get it.

(I bring the lamp closer to the Mother’s table. She reads the prayer that She gave for May. Then She looks at the painting for June and says:)

It is beautiful. What flower is this?

‘Gratitude’ ⁴³, Mother. She concentrates then writes:)

Le monde tel qu’il est à présent
est le Divin qui s’est oublié Lui-même.
O Toi qui est tout dans la Vérité,
permets que je me souvienne
afin de redevenir Toi.

The world as it is at present
is the Divine who has forgotten Himself.
O Thou who art all in Truth,
grant that I may remember
so that I may become Thee again.

Mother, here in the prayer that You have given me, you have written: “The world as it is at present is the Divine who has forgotten Himself”

Yes . . . so? What don’t you understand? At present the world as it is, is the world that has forgotten the Divine or, in other words, the Divine who has forgotten Himself. Do you understand? At present there is no place for the Divine in this world.

But, Mother, this too may have been His plan. So?

Ah, you are asking me if this too is His plan? I tell you that I feel like teasing you (Mother looks around), but not now, not on this subject of the Divine. I tell you that you will not understand so long as you do not become the Divine. Become the Divine and you will know what it means. It is quite a complicated thing to understand. But I have shown you the means, so it is no longer difficult.

You know, in the beginning, there was nothing but the Divine. The Divine alone existed everywhere. All around, it was only He. So He got bored and then to please Himself, He created out of Himself. This is how the creation was born. Then the creation multiplied through many milleniums so that at present it is inundated by innumerable beings; it is inundated everywhere. And little by little, the Divine who had created, began to be forgotten in the world. And now He doesn’t exist. The Divine is completely forgotten, denied or, in other words, it is the Divine who has forgotten Himself.

Therefore, it will be a formidable task to make the Divine to be reborn in the world. You understand, it is difficult, but not if one becomes the Divine. I wanted to tease you, but not when it concerns the Divine. On this subject, it would be better to keep silent. It is a lesson.

That means, Mother . . .?

You don’t know?

No, Mother.

Never mind; silence on this subject. (Mother laughs.) No, nothing. I remain silent.

(Mother puts a finger on Her lips.)

By the way, come here . . . You know, if you had been born 5000 years ago, I would have told you: “Go and sit there in front of the wall and concentrate till you get the answer to this question: was this His plan, or has the Divine forgotten Himself in this world?” But now, it is no longer the custom. That is why I am not asking you to do it. But, if you had been born 5000 years ago, I would have asked you to do this, but not now. All that has changed. It is not necessary to ask you to do that.

Go home and work. But if you find it out, come and tell me. Think, and try to find out; if you find out, come and tell me. Concentrate a bit.

Go, do your work, it is more necessary.
