White Roses (Part I : 1955 - 1962) is an enlarged edition, which includes more of The Mother’s correspondence with Huta & facsimiles of Her handwritten notes.
The Mother : correspondence
White Roses – messages of value to all seekers, collected from the Mother’s many letters to Huta. (Mother once told her ‘I have never written so many letters to anyone as I have to you’ and Huta once told me that in all she had received over 8000 letters and cards from the Mother.) The Mother wished White Roses to be translated into many languages and made available all over the world.
THEME/S
I am sending you the picture of an egg, because the soul is like the bird in the egg — this strange feeling you have in your heart of something tight, comes when the moment is come for the soul to burst out of the egg and it is pressing from inside.
The Mother
It was 28th July 1957. In the evening I went to the Mother, I offered her three flowers — “Zephyr” — of different colours: white, yellow and rose-mauve. The Mother always gave significance to flowers by entering into their consciousness and getting vibrations of their being. The meaning she gave to these flowers is “Prayer — self giving is true prayer.”
The Mother asked me: What are your three payers? Write them down, I also will write down what your three prayers will be.”
She gave me a piece of paper and a pencil.
I was confused at first. Then I wrote down what I felt. I do not at all recollect now what exactly I wrote. But it was somewhat similar to the Mother’s own jotting. She saw my scribble, gave a smile of amusement and then handed me her paper, on which this had been written:
vital prayer : steadiness and perseverance
mental prayer : purity
integral prayer : the Divine Consciousness
When I was attacked heavily by the hostile forces, the Mother gave me these prayers and asked me to recite them regularly.
They worked wonders.
O, my Lord, my sweet Mother, let me be Thine, absolutely Thine, perfectly Thine.
Your force, your light and your love will protect me against all evils.
Morning
O my Lord, sweet Mother, I am yours and pray to be more and more perfectly yours.
Midday
O my Lord. sweet Mother your force is with me, your light and your love, and you will save me from all difficulties.
