This book records conversations which the Mother had with Huta from 1955 to 1973. Huta recorded the talks from memory and sent them the next day to the Mother for corrections. In these revealing talks, the Mother teaches Huta how to live the true inner life and constantly encourages her to overcome her problems and difficulties, to reject the influence of the adverse forces, and to open herself completely to the Divine. In addition, the Mother talks to her about the Future Painting. Also included are a few letters written by the Mother.

The Truth comes straight from above and, according to the Truth, I always act and cast the Vision of the Truth on human beings, in order to make everything harmonious but unhappily, whenever the Truth touches human beings, It becomes crooked and messy. Nevertheless, once the Vision of the Truth has touched human beings and their consciousness, sooner or later the Truth is bound to become straight—and whatever I have decided will be done rightly upon this earth.
The Mother's talk calls to my mind a message by Her which is appropriate:
To have a glimpse of the Truth, one must take at least one step back in one's consciousness, enter a little more deeply into one's being and try to perceive the play of forces behind the appearance, and the Divine Presence behind the play of forces.
Here I would like to quote Sri Aurobindo:
To look into ourselves and see and enter into ourselves and live within is the first necessity for the transformation of our nature and for the divine life.
