Mother You said so ...

28 September 1965

I went to the Mother on 16.9.65. War between India and Pakistan was going on. The Mother said to me:

India and Pakistan must become one. Have you read the message I sent to Mr. Shastri?

I said: No, Mother. Then the Mother got up from her high-backed chair—went into her living room to bring the message. Afterwards she asked me to read the Message:

It is for the sake and triumph of Truth that India is fighting and must fight until India and Pakistan have once more become one because that is the Truth of their being.

The Mother

I asked the Mother what did the Lord say about this war? The Mother replied:

But this is the message of the Lord. He wants that only you see, first I wrote "Shall" then I rubbed it off, because only the Prime Minister can write that word, and I am not the Prime Minister.

I said: But, Mother, you are much more than that! The Mother said:

Yes, in another way so I did not write "shall"

I questioned: Mother, if Security Council orders them for cease-fire—then... She said firmly:

No, still India must fight. Otherwise they will have to start all over again.

When I sent the message to Shastri, he was grateful for the message—and I am sure it will work.

The Mother said,

Give up your personal plan and will, then you can say, ‘Let the Lord's Will be done.' Cut the connection with outward circumstances and people, and withdraw inwardly, remaining in the light of the Truth.

Nobody knows the Lord's Will. Also, nobody knows what will happen tomorrow except the Lord.

I asked the Mother, "You told me to have faith in the Lord or to follow the rule of Tapasya'; what should I do?"

She replied:

Do both. "Tapasya" means whenever you feel that you are insincere try to be sincere in all circumstances. Whenever people say anything or ask for something or other, just remain quiet and withdrawn for a while, and then tell them, know nothing, I cannot do anything, ask the Mother.'

The people whom the Lord chooses for a special purpose and realisation, must undergo severe difficulties and sufferings; and in this situation you must be sincere—that is called "Tapasya". The others, who have nothing to do with the Divine and the Truth, lead an easy life. So leave everything to the Lord for His final judgement.

Then I told the Mother that I knew my defects and the weakness of my outer being; also I prayed to Her that there should not be any conflict between the Mother and myself I requested her to let me understand Her and let my soul lead the whole being……

She smiled and nodded. Then She said,

You must always remain in the Light of your soul and try more and more to be conscious and to go within yourself. Then surely the outer being and outer circumstances will not affect you.
