Mother You said so ...

Introduction

The Mother gave talks to me after our work or after our meditations. She named her conversations with me:

Mother You said so.

These talks of hers are indeed so revealing—so full of truths—enveloping all by her Light and Love.

From 1955 to 1958 the Mother gave her talks to me in her room at the Play-ground.

Later on the talks were held in her interview cum music room in the main Ashram Building; afterwards in her living room.

When I left the Mother, I used to sit on the staircase leading to Sri Aurobindo’s room, and note down all that the Mother had said to me. Then I went to my apartment in “Huta House” (named by the Mother), typed out my record of the conversations and sent them to the Mother. She returned the corrected manuscripts the same day or later.

Here, in this book I have included a few letters written by the Mother in this regard. Also these are some talks concerning the Future Painting.

All these talks cover the period—1955 to 1973.1 have retained a few of the Mother’s corrections in her own hand.

Here I may mention that the Messages used appropriately on the back-cover of all my books were written by the Mother in my spiritual diaries given by her and my birthday cards.

I am happy to share with all these splendid gifts from the Mother.
