Behind the Heart

The years since your departure have swiftly flown
And only the memory of your beauty abides
Together with the love your soul had shown
And the peace within my soul that still survives.

I feel that you have taken birth again
Perhaps a dozen times or even more
To grace the earth and fill the hearts of men
As you did once in ages gone before.

We met and Mother upon you cast Her smile.
I think in solitude of your beauty and grace
That merged with me and filled my life awhile
And held your love that nothing can efface,
Behind the heart, the psychic being's place.
