Up the Ladder to the Truth

For we must act and acting trust in Him
We here on earth, lower than seraphim
Or cherubim to fill our part now trim
The sails on which we go towards the sun
Of enlightenment, the sun of Truth.
For why are we here if not to rise
Above the ego self and its grand view
Of life from a dark and clouded lens.
We came an inner journey to undertake
And meet the God again for which we dropped
Ignorant and small into this birth.
Let us now be free of life's restraints
And open to the arms awaiting us
Ascending up the ladder to the Truth.
