How can the earth bear falsehood and refrain From striking back at those who willingly Defile her lands and with venom stain Her beauty founded on the land and sea.
The spoilage of a dark consumer age That has no sense of purity or Grace, A species that threatens this sacred life with rage, Their filth and despoilation a disgrace.
But somehow from some dim and distant past We know this world a wonder-weft of God And all the loveliness in her will last Beyond the violence of evil's facade.
