Now age upon my being would like to steal And with it hints of welcoming demise, Suggesting to the body that it feel The weight of ages and the emotive ties
Of a long life lived truly to the full, Knowing that one's passing is only brief And Spring arrives after winter's toll And the falling of the final leaf
And void expanse of solemn white Covering the fields of love now past, Suggesting that the coming of the night Is gentle and certainly shall not last,
For once again the soul will come to earth And know the beauty of eternal birth.
