Who calls, the sated mind would know What force, what form, what afterglow Could move this being, content and sure Its earthly needs, its life secure?
From whence the pull to leave these shores And venture forth without remorse, Forsake life's pleasures, left behind, To search with only hope to find
The key to the mystic keepers gate The answer to the riddle of fate, And naked on a new world's edge Recite the psychic being's pledge
To build a world on truth and love And bring to earth those realms above, Master the body and from it free Disease and death, our destiny
Is here upon the chosen earth, Amid the stars its sacred birth As the avatar of the future's plan Lights the way to the overman.
Hardly the aeonic task begun For us, but through Their toil is won The promise of the coming race The gift of a supernal grace
Whose advent lifts the striving soul Nearer to the promised goal Of life's unending mystery Signing the path to divinity.
