Stand like a guard at the door of your soul Allowing no itinerants to come Into the sanctum of your deepest self Or evil forces welcome in your home. The enemy deceptive will by ruse And flattery a stranglehold attempt Or try seduction as his goal or ploy To breach the temple, to cajole and tempt The unwary and unguarded mental being. We must steadfast keep the heart-space clean From all contamination and misuse That from the heights treasures the soul can glean, Becoming master of this life divine And to the Mother our sacred days align.
