A vague hiatus quells the deeper prayer Though desert dryness troubles not the soul An approaching stillness felt upon the air, An instant's peace in the climb to a distant goal.
A meditative atmosphere to span The reach of being seeking for its light Enveloping the moment and the man Descends to wake within the inner sight.
All rises from hidden depths to scrutiny, All imperfections are held before our eyes To offer to the transforming divinity That from our mortal threshold we may rise
To spirit greatness fulfilling God's desire In forms new-made aglow with the inner fire.
