In dreams I delve into the past And find among these loving souls Ephemeral joys that do not last For I am seeking higher goals
And yet I dream not knowing why My father plays a major part And though I watched him slowly die In peace and from this world depart
So much remains in me to learn, These niggling entities that charm That I must find a way to burn Their gripping hold and must disarm
Dismiss these beings that still cling And eradicate their painful sting.
