And as I waited for my soul To show to me the longed-for goal Miraculous vision came to me Of One who surely would set me free
From my past bonds and all past lives Through body and mind the spirit strives. He came a gift and sat with me Lightly joking that I might see
The future free from all the past Associations that seek to last And halt the forward-striving Will Who works the golden cup to fill
With beauty and divine delight Descending now from a great height To make humanity divine And Death to his own death consign
That all may move in measured pace As children of the future race.
