In my heart, O Lord, I would assuage The wrongs I have done unconsciously, The moments of my resistance and my rage For when I sinned I sinned most joyously.
The years have taught some silence and some calm A realization of the vital nature's stress Have soothed at times with pure and heavenly balm The restlessness which Thou hast deigned to bless.
I offer now my soul, my work, my sight To Thee who hast given incomparable gifts to me And through this offered body seek the light And the promise of immortality.
Whether in this life or future lives to come I rest in thee my psychic being's home
