Perhaps you would like to be alone And weep for the ills from other souls Who have denigrated your work Belittled all your blossoming skills Without the courtesy to speak Directly criticizing you. You will find in humanity This utter narrowness of mind, And the ego thrills of vital play, But pay no mind to worthless words That cannot touch your inner being. There is a guidance from above Ever with you in your trials And one on earth who honors you And sheds his love on you each day.
