I lived so long in pain and grief After the passing of my wife, An angel like some bas relief, Companion of my inner life. The years have quickly flown away, Now sorrow is supplanted by love Becoming stronger day by day As towards the heights I move. Tender now the memories, The brightness of the singing year, All sorrow before my spirit flees, The joy of life replacing fear. The Mother sustains me with Her hands, The touch of Grace upon my head As I move towards the blessed lands Of India where I am led.
