A vinegar scorpion Has befriended me He comes and then he is gone Surreptitiously.
His body is a deepened black And I have seen his tail Rising up at times, then slack So silently I fail
To notice him when he wants to go, But once I frightened him As he sat upon my toe When the light was dim.
