The mountains and the valleys sing in me, And the painted desert glittering with stars, I am a mirror of eternity; The fleeting clouds along the drift of hours Symbolic of a world that soon will be.
I close the doors to rooms of ignorance Which in the early years I knew as home To venture into silence' white expanse; No longer must the soul in darkness roam To satisfy the vital self's romance.
I have known flowers filled with light and sweet, Frail and fragile as the final breath, Eternal beauty invincible in defeat To outlast the years and ultimately, death As I through centuries have sought her feet.
I am a pilgrim on the shores of prayer. A knowing guide has led me to this land To serve the Crown of God waiting there With all my life, my soul at his command, Such beauty dawns and joy beyond compare.
