How vast the world in darkness seemed to lay Until I chanced upon a Light that did not die, A love divine that with my soul did play And a hand that on my offered breast did lie,
Awakening a thirst within my soul For something unapproachable and pure, The aspiration for a single goal Essential to my life, abundant, sure.
And though I have walked upon the errant ways With a nature vital, wild, untamed, unbound, Now offer myself a servant soul with praise As one who long was lost and now is found.
To Her I surrender all I am or may be, To Him all gratitude in humility.
