A harrowing sorrow fills the heart of man, His loneliness outpaces his delight His frozen masterpieces slay elan His preference favors not the day but night All beautiful things he often would destroy Ancient temples and the sacred shrines Of ages past, with weaponry would toy, And on the enemy's defeat he dines. The hour has come of a transfiguring Grace The human being we know may not survive, A greater man shall rise to take his place Unless this mortal being chooses to live And wash away the darkness in his soul Aspiring for the now attainable goal.
