In winter's stillness I sought for Thee Across the frozen wastes of time Thy citadel my destiny Thy dwelling-place my upward climb.
I've journeyed to thee in summer's heat When earth was green and redolent Resting from her laborious feat, Creation through divine intent.
All the springtime's of my years I realize now I've searched for Thee Through lifetime's at the feet of seers I knew my mediocrity.
Now in the autumn of my days I've found within Thy secret smile, Companion through the aeon-ways Who carried my soul all this while.
