On one great day or one great eve If I could give myself to Thee No longer to suffer or to grieve But live in Thee eternally
I would fulfill my being's role As servant of Thy majesty No longer would the loud bell toll Of human life's indignity.
And yet the earth is also Thine The trees and flowers worship Thee. Thy creation of supreme design Sweetly sends a call to me,
“Forsake not earth for heavenly light On earth the eternal battle fight.”
