I have walked upon the soil of Auroville And felt the welcoming presence of the trees, The earth to me seemed bare and still Awaiting perhaps the coming energies
Of those pioneers who would build the town A model of collective unity Not as fast as some would wish but grown Through aspiration and sincerity
A paradigm for all this suffering life, To bring into the world a healing bliss Impenetrable to rancor and human strife And on the land the One's supernal kiss.
For this we came and heard the infinite call To join as one to realize the One in all.
