And you my daughter with the calm eyes that see, Who steadies the listing ship of Auroville Bearing the waves of rancour and deceit That wash upon this consecrated soil, Mother of sons who sail to find their path And daring set their feet of foreign soil, Know that change inevitable now dawns And you, forerunner of the great Ideal, Are chosen with the few to cross that bridge Above the chasms of a world in throes. Hearken to me now, of Life I sing And joy for which the earth has longed in vain, The advent of a Supramental man Who waits upon the borders of this world To lead the Chosen into realms of Light, Conquering the darkness with his love.
