Boldly lead my life, O Being With the steps than cannot err, On me visit the inner seeing That reasons not nor needs infer.
Open wide the inner gate Invite the Lord and Master in For in His hands I place my fate Who walks through sorrow, error, sin
Unmoved, untouched by earthborn care, Supporting every fitful start Hid deep within and waiting there The Guide who never shall depart,
Far from us yet ever close The silent One, the Avatar Who is the sabre and the rose, Igniter of the sun and star
Who lights our darkest vestibules Severs the iron chains and bars That shut us in with worldly rules And heals the painful psychic scars,
He the Shining, Nameless Friend In whose forge we gladly burn That shaping us we may transcend Our human state and Godhead earn.
