Together in the evening light we lay Abandoned to the dreams of yesteryear, We could not move and hardly could we pray Or even shed an unaccustomed tear.
Soon she would leave despite my hope And as she slowly withered I would weep For seeing beauty dying I could not cope Did all my prayers prevent her being's sleep?
Now I know that beauty never dies And Truth can stand against the evil's tide No soul on earth now could my soul despise For all have chosen to take the daunting ride
To grow in consciousness through faith and love, To accept the ultimate change towards which we move.
