The modern life as offering and bribe Regales us with its vain kaleidoscope Of paltry shades or colours' jarring clash Allotting reflection not a moment's hope.
Yet pressing on our earthly consciousness Invisible yet evident to all A force of God attends inviolate And resonates its puissant, silent call.
While deep-grooved mind in it's circular seeking turns, The fire invisible rises in sanctified air Escaping its towering prison while in us there burns The godhead poised on life's descending stair.
