Eternally before Thy feet I bow Knowing nought yet knowing thou art he Who in our chasmeddarknessesbelow Bears the torches of infinity
To light the stairs of our laborious climb From ignorance and death to worlds above, Within, beyond the iron vaults of time To the undying consciousness of love.
Here on earth the nations vie in hate, The killing age continues among men, Desire, rage and lust still dominate, Our skyward efforts fall to earth again
And though the being tries, attempts anew To scale the limitations of the mind Too weak our aspiration, far too few The souls who rise above themselves and find
Release approaching vision of the new. But there are those who feel this globe as home Of spirit's exploration in the blue Experiment of God, who overcome
Inertia or reluctance to ascend Above the limits of our DNA And all our dwarf-self masteryrescind To rise into a bright diviner day,
On the altar of soul's offering shall raze To crumbled ash the edifice of greed, Mind and body joined to spirit-ways, Beyond death's reach plant life's immortal seed.
