In the morning of my life Walking arrogantly I could not see the world of strife That would accompany me.
In the noonday of my life. I trod ignorantly And what I saw of hate and grief Sufficient unto me.
Now the evenings of my life Are honeyed combs to me Nothing awkward, nothing rife, All is harmony.
