What are the impediments to inner change, A mind that values reason over all, Its drama's posture as leader of the world Assured though it stumbles it will never fall.
A vital aflame with every passing desire Whose greed and lust exceed both space and time Its burning need a pestilential fire Its rise to power a thrill and joy sublime.
Yet most there dwells within his soul the pain That God-forgetting tortures him at night Though in the morning he forgets again That once he knew the brilliance of the light.
