I called to Her when all went dark The day they opened up my heart. No bird sang no dog would bark But friends did pray who shall not part From paths we chose long lives ago. I woke to pain and She was there Ever beautiful and fair, Caressing with a Mother's love, Commanding all the worlds above Yet here to bless the earth She came And I called on the sacred Name Repeated a thousand times and more The mantras that I knew before The moment when the soul might leave This place of love I felt reprieve To live again and tread the Way Into the sun of the dawning day.
