I entered into darkness once again And felt a pressure build within the heart And as with all transgressions suffered pain And must make amends or from this world depart.
There is no sin but there is ignorance Or willful turning back from the light's ray, Yet there is no fate or sign of random chance For all here is delight and all is He.
And yet we stumble and we often fall Though we are not evil as religion says And deaf to beauty and the Spirit's call Or the descent of the transforming rays.
Although we seem at times far from the goal There is a Presence growing in the soul.
