All is beautiful now In this midnight hour And I am filled with peace, Waking from a dream In which I heard her speak This once in seven years. She said, 'Willoughby (Our great white Persian cat) Is a bit under the weather.' Indeed, he looked scruffy But sidled over to me And I lightly scratched his head And woke immersed in calm. Such a simple dream To bring this strange delight, Bathing me in bliss.
