I know a garden where the roses burn And lilies catch the nectar of the sun, Where hearts shall bloom and youthful feet shall turn Toward the golden soil in joy to run Where jasmines of the night and day impress Upon the crystal air perfumed delight And Nature in a multi-coloured dress Grows radiant with pure celestial light.
Here God may roam as once He did before And we shall work to fill His vast desire, While in the cups of peonies a core Of molten stamens holds the ancient fire; Descending from Beauty's realm it slows to wait On man's ascent to his diviner state.
